New Roommates... For Better or Worse

Kirsten led them through the city to the housing she had in mind, Taylor at her side, with Christian and Annabeth following after them. After most of their questions had gone unanswered, the more hostile of the strangers had fallen silent, fuming silently as they followed these messengers of the mysterious King and Queen of this... beautiful city.

Vyri cooed softly as he looked around, holding tightly to Ravi's hand so the other kitten wouldn't get lost.

When they arrived at the housing, they found buildings lined up, connected to each other. Vyri counted nine in total.

"You'll be paired up, staying in one of these houses. We'll be assigning you your own partners, and during the course of this you will learn to get along with your chosen partners. The only exception to this rule will be you three," she nodded to three of the strangers, the man with the deep forest eyes, another with pink hair, and a teenager with purple hair. "You'll get your own housing for the fact that you're a special case."

"If they get their own housing," the wolf spoke up, gritting his teeth, "I want my own-"

"Detective," Kirsten narrowed her eyes, "you and your lover will be housed with Xander and Emil," she said, nodding her head to two others, pirates... but not space pirates?

"I... really don't think that will work," the blonde pirate spoke up and the wolf snorted, violet eyes narrowed.

"At least we can agree on something," he growled out.

"Perhaps maybe we should work on...getting along. Ravi not like when people yell and fight. Loud noises scare Ravi..." The cat spoke quietly, but loud enough to be heard by those close to him including both the detective and the captain. He was just being honest, not wanting anyone to fight with each other was a common theme at least when he was concerned.

Another male with glowing golden eyes turned to the detective, slowly stepping up to be right beside him. "Zero, I have no idea what the fuck is going on, but perhaps it's good advice. There's no reason to get all worked up over simple bunking negotiations..." He scratched the back of his neck, looking around at everyone who had been lead to the apartments.

"Aye, he's right...Emil." Came another voice, this time from a tall man with bright-red hair. "Why not give em' a chance? Consider this to be a sort of...adventure of sorts. Remember what I told you about the spirit of adventure?"

The captain, Emil, grimaced, scooting closer to the other pirate, Xander, "Yes well... when this includes sleeping in foreign quarters with a... a wolf..." he swallowed hard, eyeing the wolf with a frown and Zero growled at the implications, but forced himself to calm down.

Turning his face away, Zero glanced back at Kuro for a moment, before glaring daggers at Taylor? Vyri frowned, watching this, holding Ravi tighter to him, "This..." he took in a deep calming breath, stepping forward, "you cannot keep us here against our will..." he snarled and Taylor flinched back at the venom in his voice, a hidden sadness in his eyes that Vyri couldn't make out.

"C-Can we just be showed our room... please?" he questioned, swallowing hard and luckily for him, Christian, the blonde man, walked over to them, a gentle smile on his face.

"Come on, I can show you which house you'll be staying in," he said, voice soft as he nodded to one of the houses in question.

Ravi was absolutely quivering, countless little whimpers escaping from his muzzle as he held against the other cat so tightly. He just wanted to get to where they would be staying, away from all of the yelling and anger. Maybe it would be better once everyone had been given a chance to cool down, but nobody seemed in the mood to actually think. It was a soft voice that finally caused him to open his eyes once more, his face turning up to see a kind smile which was quite the change.

"Please...Ravi want to go somewhere safe. Not feel safe here..."

He must have sounded almost pathetic as he pleaded with the man, Christian, to take them somewhere...anywhere besides where they currently were.

"I...have to agree..." Spoke a rather cute fox-fur, his fuzz snow white except for the black tips on his ears and tail. Clutched to his side appeared to be...a rather fluffy dragon. "As much as I am confused about how this all has happened...I would much like to go somewhere besides here."

The dragon frowned, his ears pinned back as he glanced at everyone around them, appearing to not be able to focus on any single thing. It was the fox at his side speaking up that seemed to jolt him from this and Vyri watched the dragon's crimson eyes turn towards the fox before settling on them. When the dragon stayed silent, not responding verbally to this, Vyri chose to talk instead, as he nodded, accepting Christian's offer.

"Ah, you're in luck then," the blonde chuckled quietly. "As it is, the four of you are housed together. Come on, follow me and we'll get you settled." he said, turning and walking towards the homes in question, away from the chaos that still reared its head.

Looking at Ravi with a soft smile, the maine coon fur gripped Ravi's hand tightly, nodding his head, before tentatively following the human towards their new residence.

As soon as they had been lead away from all of the chaos and yelling, which undoubtedly had been fueled by testosterone, Ravi began to perk up almost immediately. His ears were raised again, and his tail was no longer being held protectively against his body. Though perhaps the most dramatic change of them all was the fact that he was no longer whimpering like a lost little kitten.

The fox, Felix, seemed to notice this. And it pleased him seeing the kitten growing a little more comfortable. Of course, he himself was still in quite a lot of distress at being ripped away from everything so suddenly, at least he could take comfort in knowing that he had Dragon with him. Had they had been...separated...he had no idea how he would have reacted to such a thing.

"This...place we'll be staying. I am assuming that it is fully equipped with all of the amenities of home?" Felix tilted his head to the side, regarding Christian carefully as the four continued to follow after him.

Christian nodded his head in answer, "Yes. Each house has two bedrooms, one for you and your dragon, and another for Vyri and Ravi," he said, smiling at them. "There is a kitchen which will always be stocked with any food you need, a comfortable bathroom, a laundry room, suitable storage space in case you need it, a dining room, and a living room area complete with entertainment."

"That's..." Vyri frowned, "What? Entertainment?" he questioned and Christian nodded once more.

"Tv, game consoles, the like," he said with a grin, though it still left Vyri... confused.
